Channel Islands Adventure Expedition
A week in the Galapagos of North America
This environmentally conscious program takes you out to sea off the coast of California to one of the least visited National Parks - the Channel Islands. This little visited island chain is home to over 400 species of plants and animals found nowhere else on earth.
Picture It
Come join up to 11 other Girl Scouts on this week long adventure to Channel Islands National Park, also known as the "Galapagos of North America." We'll kayak through amazing sea caves, hike to the highest peak on the largest island, backpack cross island on an overnight trip, see the universe over our heads, explore archaeological sites, and play witness to the power of isolated evolution. On our travels to and from the island, we'll most likely see mega-pods of dolphins and other sea life and you may even have a chance to snorkel through a cold water kelp forest.
