A Carbon Neutral Outdoor Adventure in the Caribbean!
This environmentally conscious program explores many of the adventures and historical treasures to be found in the Caribbean. Sunsets, a beautiful ocean, and amazingly dense rainforests await us on our Caribbean Isle.
Picture It
Come join 19 other Girl Scouts on this week long adventure in the Caribbean. Our island of choice is Puerto Rico, a semi-U.S. Territory. Explore one of the largest cave systems in the world, hike through an endangered rainforest, see the world heritage sites of San Juan, and learn about the universe at the largest radio telescope on the planet. This will be an adventurous week packed full of amazing experiences. You'll learn the basics of caving, along with the technical gear, basic first aid, Leave No Trace ethics, and environmental conservation. Throughout the trip, you'll learn about sustainability and understanding the importance of preserving natural areas for future generations. This sustainable week will be completely carbon neutral through carbon offsets provided by ATS.
